Multiple industrial processes utilise compressed gases at high working pressures. In most cases the creation of pressure from the cryogenic liquid phase is much more efficient than compressing the gaseous phase. The energy savings may reach up to 90% in comparison to gas compression. The overall energy consumption, the resulting carbon footprint, and last but not least the maintenance costs for such processes supplies are significantly lower if cryogenic reciprocating pumps are applied instead of compressors.
